Romeo & Juliet: Dramatic Reading
Being a very, very quiet person I am, I chose to do Prince Escalus' speech from Romeo and Juliet! Believe it or not. This is something that I normally wouldn't do live in front of an audience, therefore I recorded myself. I would consider this as my first step of stepping out of my shell. To be honest, I don't like speaking or presenting anything in front of an audience. I get extremely nervous whenever that happens. Luckily, I was given a choice to record my speech in stead of performing it live! What I realize the use of technology can help me do things that I don’t feel confident in. Me recording my speech instead of performing it live is an example of using technology to help me do things that I’m not confident doing. There are people in the world who have a quiet voice, but a loud mind! I guess I’m one of those people. I know a few people who don't talk a lot in class, but they can ramble forever online. Blogging or talking online is another way to use technology like that. People usually are more confident to express their thoughts and ideas online versus in person. I find that point very true because I tend to talk more online, than face to face with someone. Anyways, have fun listening to me yelling! *REBELLIOUS SUBJECTS!*

PRINCE
Rebellious subjects, enemies to peace,
Profaners of this neighbor-stained steel!--
Will they not hear?—What, ho! You men, you beasts,
That quench the fire of your pernicious rage
With purple fountains issuing from your veins,
On pain of torture, from those bloody hands
Throw your mistempered weapons to the ground,
And hear the sentence of your moved prince.

Job Advice
Before you start looking for job, take some time to consider what you want to do. If you don't have any work experience yet, volunteering would be the first place to go to. By volunteering, you can gain a lot of experience! There are many volunteers needed in your community that you might not be aware of. You have to dig deep and look for opportunities because opportunities doesn't always come to you.
There are variety of positions that are always available for teens. Don't set your standards too high because you may want to start with a lousy job first, just to gain some experience. For some volunteering places, you can go to the Humane Society to help out if you're an animal-lover! If you prefer working with students, the YMCA is the place to go to. Many of the YMCA s have after school child care program and summer camps where you can help out. During the summer, amusement parks offer a variety of summer jobs for teens such as the African Lion Safari. If you help out long enough, you might potentially get paid for that job instead of hours.
No matter if you're working or volunteering, always be nice and friendly! This allows you to be more social and meet new people more easier. Also, be confident for sure, and maybe enthusiastic. You don't want to look all nervous when you're going to an interview or something. I'm very shy, so I have to work on this. Always bring a positive attitude when you're working or volunteering. Sometimes, you may end up getting poor jobs that you hate, but that’s good because it helps you. Hating your job is a great motivator to get you to change your situation. Keep in mind that your first few jobs will provide you a good understanding of what you want to do and what you don't want to do.

Career Path Planning- Do I Even Have One?
I am here to tell you that I have not a clue what to do in the future. I still haven’t decide what career plan I’m going to pursue or what university I’m going to go to. I can’t see my future at all. I know the subjects I most enjoy are math and science, specifically chemistry. Although I don’t like biology and physics, I still took those courses for next year because they might benefit me in some way. For sure, business and technology are not my interests. But I do realize business is a major demand in the market and you do earn a lot of money. The good thing is, my French course got cancelled for the next year, leaving me with a chance to try accounting. Although it is business-related, mostly math is involved. Who knows, but I could potentially become an accountant, working for a business! I did dream of becoming a cartoonist or a manga artist, but that's not happening anymore. I love playing the piano and guitar, however I’m not professional enough so I don’t think I will pursue a career in music. Trying to find a career and sticking with it is very difficult for me. I just don’t know what to do! I Iove learning languages such as Korean, Japanese, Mandarin, but I can’t be a translator or interpreter because I don’t like speaking in front of people...For now, I guess I'll just go with the flow! Who knows, I may pursue a career that I didn't think of or liked before.
Failure to Success
Everyone has heard of failure leads to success. An average human being makes mistakes like everyone does, no matter if they are smart or stupid. People who are successful has gone through many failures. You must fail in order to reach the next level of success.
Failing gives you the opportunity to improve and find your weaknesses. If you failed once, try again. If you fail twice, try again. Try until you are successful. Sometimes you cannot be successful in one shot. People don't expect you to be able to serve the volleyball over the net or shoot a basket in the hoop on your first try. Don't ever give up, because perseverance is the answer. If you failed, your life is not over.
The quickest road to success is to have a positive attitude towards failure. Fearing and being frustrated with your failure won't get you anywhere in life. Now that you have gained some experience, make a new approach. You can take risks or test out something new. Learn from the mistakes that you have made in order to never run into them again.
Failure to success is like practice to perfection. If you practice, you'll get better and better at it. Your hard work will eventually payoff in the end because hard work leads to success. Failure is just the beginning of success!

Vision Board + Explanation
My vision board explains most of my dreams and goals I wish to achieve in the future, and the six mentors I want to meet or become.
Some of my dreams/goals include traveling to countries like Japan and Hawaii, becoming a parent, learning foreign languages, playing the piano and guitar successfully, being able to draw professionally and becoming a scientist or chemist.
My first mentor is my mother. She inspires me to learn languages and learn how to cook. She’s knows four languages in total- Vietnamese, Mandarin, Cantonese and little of English. That’s why I decided to learn eight in the future! Double of what she knows, though it doesn’t seem possible for now. My mom is a great cook as well. She can make Vietnamese dishes, Chinese dishes and even curry!
Second, is Mark Crilley. He is an illustrator, author and a comic creator who inspires me to draw. Crilley can basically draw anything. From manga to dragons, from buildings to realism. There are many tutorials he created to teach people how to draw on Youtube. He has so much talent! I am immensely jealous of his artistic ability.
Third, is Arina Tanemura. She also inspires me to draw but specifically manga. Tanemura-san is a Japanese manga artist and author. Usually, she writes her stories and draws the manga as well. I love her style of art because she makes every character attractive with the big eyes, even for the males too. The stories that she writes are always amazing. I would be satisfied if I can have half of her skills.
Fourth, is Kim Taeyeon. She is a leader of one of Asia’s most popular South Korean girl group. She is an amazing singer and she inspires me to sing. Singing is one of my passions. Taeyeon is not just the leader because of her age nor her voice, but she has the qualities of being a great leader. For six years, she is able to keep all the members of nine in total, unified as one.
Fifth, is Amuro Namie. A Japanese singer, she inspires me to sing as well. So far, Namie-san’s career have lasted over a decade and is still ongoing. She has received the title of “Queen of J-pop”, making her popularity grow even more. She is known for having a great voice and holding the record of being on the Oricon Top 10 chart hits for 13 consecutive years.
My final mentor is Marie Curie, who is already dead in the 1900s. She was a chemist and physicist. Curie discovered three elements; Radium, Curium and Polonium. Because of the discovery of these elements, she was the first female to receive a Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Later, she received another one in physics. Curie inspires me to become a chemist.
My dreams/goals may or may not stay consistent, but my mentors will.
