I always dream of the weirdest things: Raining krabby patties, the sky turning black, having a cat fight with my little brother, dreaming of a blue rose tree, being lost in a desert and  many more weird ones that I don't remember.

A few times, I dreamed of driving my dad's car and a random motorcycle on the 401, even though I can't drive! I think I crashed into a car once in my dream....Another car-related dream is I got into the car, then it started driving automatically to my elementary school, although I'm in high school now! I remember the car almost hit a crossing guard. Those dreams were freaky.

Here comes the weirdest one: A snowy owl with a height of 170 feet shooting  fire arrows from its mouth! Awesomely cool or what? It was trying to burn down a school that is 10 minutes away from my house- St. Benny's. The owl was kind of cute though. o.o It was quite a vivid sight. The owl aimed for Fast Eddies.  Next, it aimed for my sister and I! We were just running for our lives down the street, then guess what happened? The alarm woke me up. -.-" I actually wanted to continue that dream.....

Another dream I had was there were at least ten rabbits living in my basement. What's funny is it's the same type of rabbit that I used to raise, but it ran away. It's a black and white rex rabbit. Now, I really miss my rabbit. I named it Lucky.  :(

Want to hear another dream? The buttons of a random elevator  were animals, not numbers.... I remember pressing the elephant button then suddenly, the person standing beside me, my sister just disappeared! At first, I didn't know where she ended up, but then this random person told me she was in the hospital. I don't know how or what happened in that dream. It was quite scary. It appears that my sister fainted.

Last  dream I want to share is related to manga/anime. The anime is Naruto. For whatever reason, I was Guy Sensei and I was fighting with Rock Lee. Then, I summoned nine tails. (which sounds very ironic) Instead of nine tails helping me fight Rock Lee, it turned against me and attacked me. I'm not sure if I ended up dead because my stupid alarm woke me up!! I really wanted to know what would happen next! That's the end of my dream telling. Now, tell me about your wicked awesome dreams!

A majestic tree,
Standing tall and free,
With its pink flowers,
Attracting eyes with its powers,
Brightens up the view.

Gorgeous as it can be,
For a pleasant scene we see,
Makes us mesmerized by the beautiful sight,
As it is blossoming in delight,
Being blown in the gentle breeze.

The sweet smell  fills the air,
The sun adds to the flare,
Its delicate petals peek,
Nothing more than what I seek,
Pink flowers glow softly.

Again, for the millionth time, someone said to me that it's really sad that I still don't have clue what I'm going to be when I grow up. Honestly, I can't see my future at all- or should I say I won't even have one. I'm really lost. My mother, my father, my aunt, my cousin and my friends have asked me the same question, "What do you want to do when you grow up?" countless times. And yet, every time I would give them a blank stare and utter the words "I don't know." Apparently, I am prohibited from saying "I don't know" because I use it too often to answer questions asked by my parents. I think their joking though.

Well, I'm fifth-teen right now and I guess I still have time to ponder about this...But some people are already planning their career ahead of time! Some of my friends and classmates have decided what courses they're going to take in grade twelve, even though they are going into grade eleven next year. On the contrary, I still don't know what career path I'm going to follow so I chose all the hard courses for grade eleven such as university biology, chemistry and physics, hoping that I will show some interest in one of those subject areas.

Others have asked me have I decided what university to go to. I don't know what I'm going to study in the future and now you're asking what university to go to....Also, I have little knowledge of what universities or colleges that exist. If I were to have a post-secondary education, I would probably choose a college/university that is close to my home due to the fact that living in the dorms seems kind of "isolated". The one university that keeps coming up is Harbour. From what I heard, Harbour is the best university in the world. People think I should go there because of my marks, but in my opinion, marks don't matter that much! I think that being interested in that area you want to study matters most! I may be wrong, so you can disagree with me.

One thing that bothers me is that my younger sister says she wants to become an artist and my cousin wants to become a doctor. Yes, they have a goal now but will it stay consistent? For the next 5 or 10 years, will they still stick to what they want to become? Or give up on that career choice and choose something else? Another thing that bothers me is some people will be in college/university studying medical or whatever, then they will drop out and study another course, then they drop out again. I feel like I'm getting off topic... Anyways, my advice: Decide what you are going to study in your post-secondary education so you're not wasting time and money! If you find yourself not interested in studying, immediately leave and choose a different path. I really need to start thinking about this...

I've been told that I have a photographic memory, but for some odd reason I can't memorize poems very easily!  Just last week, our FFP class had to memorize this poem, then have it recorded on camera. The poem our class had to recite is The Road Not Taken is written by Robert Frost, one of the best poems in the world! It is rated second after Phenomenal Women. At first, I was mortified, especially with the part where we get recorded on camera. Memorizing a poem is already bad enough, and now we have to say it in front of a camera?! However once I had it all done, I was relieved.

I used a few tips to memorize this poem that were very helpful to me. First, memorize one stanza per day because your brain can't retain all the information at once. If you don't have that much time, then leave a few hours in between before you start memorizing the second stanza. During those hours, do some physical activity as it will help you improve your memory. A second tip to use is record yourself reading your poem fluently, then play it over and over again until it gets stuck in your head. Play your recording a few times just before you sleep because studies show you are more likely to retain more information or memorize more things at night time. I usually study for tests at night before I sleep.

As I walked into the classroom on a Friday morning, the day where we have to recite the poem, all I heard was the poem being read millions of times in the classroom. I joined in as well. When the first person entered the backroom to recite the poem, I started getting anxious and shaky. I watched the second person, the third, and then the fourth person going in and coming out calm-looking. Perhaps this is not that hard as I thought it would be. I was next in line. I slowly entered the back room, sat on a chair, trying not to stare at the camera, then I flew past the poem. It was successful, sort of. I was surprised that I didn't stutter or pause at all! I recited the poem fluently with confidence. But one thing I messed up on, is I skipped a line without realizing...........I don't even remember what the line was! Oh well, I hope the memorizing tips will help you!

To be honest, I would consider this trip as one of the worst I've ever been to. Some of the talks were too long, there was no WiFi running, the people should have made the audience get up and do something fun instead of sitting for over an hour. I tried really hard not to fall asleep, but I was extremely tired. Some of the speakers were amazing though. Whereas others, they were very repetitive. Other things I liked about this event is the lunch we were served- it was delicious! Also, I got to meet some new people/new friends from other schools who were very nice!

My three most favourite speakers were Maddie Cranston, Holly Painter and Shayma Saadat. Maddie's talk was inspiring and adorable. For a nine year-old to have such passion about protecting Earth's ocean and her ability to stand in front of a large crowd to speak is astonishing. I wouldn't have the courage to do what Maddie did. When I was nine, I was probably just running around, playing tag. I can see Maddie Cranston as a famous environmentalist in the future.

Another talk I enjoyed was by Holly Painter. She introduced the audience to slam poetry- a competitive event in which poets perform their work by means of reciting or reading original work. In this case, Holly was reciting her poem. I really liked her poem that she created about The Hunger Games some other topic I`ve forgotten.. . That talk kept me awake through the whole thing, surprisingly because it was captivating.

My final favourite speaker is Shayma Saadat. Her talk was interesting. I'd also experienced the same thing as her when I was made fun of the food I'd brought for lunch in elementary school. Some girl was making fun of me by saying my lunch looked like grasshoppers when it was just fried noodles and vegetables. From that day on, I tried to hide my lunch or eat alone and I never told my parents about this. Overall, this event needs some more improvement and preparation. It was an "OK" experience. Anyone found this trip fun?

I personally don't like reading- no offense to book lovers. I'm just not the person to willingly pick up a book from a library and start reading. I will only read if I have to for novel studies in school. As a matter of fact, I can take months reading just one book. For example, everyone probably read The Hunger Games in less than a week. As for me, to be honest, I took three whole months. No joke. That's probably why my English vocabulary is terrible and sometimes I don't understand 25% the vocab my teacher uses......I think I should start reading more on my own, not just in school. There are many wonderful benefits of reading that will be very helpful now and in the future. Anyone have good books to recommend? I usually prefer action and adventure. One more thing, please stay away from history-related books.

I found a list of top 10 reasons why reading is important:

1. Builds Vocabulary
2. Enhances writing skills
3. Enhances creativity
4. Improved concentration
5. Reduced stress levels
6. Improves critical thinking
7. Increases brain flexibility
8. Improves memory
9. Confidence building
10. Better reasoning

Some of these reasons were pretty obvious, but some of them were new to me such as  #5.

As I wake up from the cold, crispy morning, I gazed out at the window.  I see the world covered in sheets of pure, white snow; the trees, the ground, the rooftops, everywhere was covered! Mesmerized by the beautiful scene of nature, I didn’t let me eyes wander off until ten minutes later. It’s so peaceful outside. No noise, just dead silence.

Today, I am going to write about the Chinese New Year Celebration my language school held last Saturday. And yes, I do go to school on Saturday to learn Chinese. For three consecutively years, I had to become the MC (Master of Ceremony) for the celebration speaking Cantonese and/or English. Speaking in front of an audience is one of my fears and yet, the teachers still force me to do it. I spent hours writing out my script and rehearsing as well. But, at the last minute before the celebration began, one of the teachers told me that the script I spent four hours writing was garbage. That moment, I just felt like tearing my script that I was holding in my hand and storming out of the stadium. I was then giving a new list of the performances, expecting me to improvise right  on the spot. I stuttered quite a few times and I was so close from tripping over m dress. Indeed, this is my worst year. Besides the atrocious part of the morning, there was an amusing part. We had a special guest come in and sing for us. Guess what song it was? Gangnam Style! I didn't know that everyone was going to get up and randomly start dancing to it. I just slowly backed up in a corner and watched all these people do the dance. Even the parents were involved, surprisingly. I just stood there laughing and sang along.
